The T8Convertible-Air (T8C-Air) is the next generation of the TRIKKETM T8. The T8C-Air is a TRIKKE but it is NOT the v.1 or v.2 like you see on TV. The T8v.1 or v.2 will NOT mount the rubber air tires. The T8Convertible is the first hybrid Trikke product to enable the mounting of both polyurethane and rubber air tires on the same frame. The frame has been re-designed to make-go easier and is faster. The T8C-Air offers much more in versatility of the surfaces you can ride on verses the polyurethane. It is the ultimate adult ride for all around utility. It's more portable than the T12 Roadster, but equipped with the much sought-after air-filled tires for better hill climbing and smooth travel over varied terrain. The T8C-Air allows the same traction-filled ride as the T12 so that you can throw all of your energy into your turns, but at 20 pounds can easily be tossed into your trunk or carried up stairs, onto the subway or through a café. It used a coaxial rotor system of two contra-rotating blades to make flying it as easy as kidnapping a sedated seal on rollerskates. How many of you thought “I wish they’d make one full size, so I can ride around in it”? Obviously enough for the magic helicopter fairy to hear you and make your wish come true!
Controlled by a simple set of motorcycle-style handlebars with a throttle grip to control the 65HP engine and in turn vary altitude, the Air Scooter requires far less training than traditional helicopters demand. The absence of pedal controls means that people without the use of their legs (or, like me, who have rubbish independent hand/leg management) can fly too. The 5 gallon fuel tank permits two hours of flight, while the flotation pontoons mean you can land on water should you misgauge your flight-plan!
